It is genetically coded in our DNA that age is our enemy. As women, we refuse to come under the reign of time; we refuse to become wrinkled up raisins. But unbeknownst to many, our daily habits can speed up our process of aging. So girls, to avoid those wrinkles crawling up your skin, remember to stay away from these ten bad habits. Having good habits can save you tons of greens later as you will literally throw away cash to look young.

Bad Habit # 1: Frowning

It pays to be depressed and frowning all the time. Unfortunately, it is your youth that is being compensated. This is a great way for the sneaky wrinkles to crawl up. So turn the frown upside down, and most importantly, STAY HAPPY. A healthy balance of mental health is especially essential to have good skin. Trust me, it shows.

Bad Habit # 2: Pull An All Nighter

Pulling an all nighter is your skin’s biggest enemy. Not getting enough sleep affects your skin’s natural ability to rejuvenate itself. The best thing to do is to sleep at least 8 hours a day. This is almost impossible to do for many of us, but there is an alternative. The alternative is to sleep around 10 PM- 2AM, which is the period where your skin rejuvenates itself. What I would suggest is to finish your daily ablution before 10 PM and sleep during that period so that your skin can get the most out of the rejuvenation.

Bad Habit # 3: Burn Your Skin

For those who love the beach or sports, you can’t simply let go of your love for the sun. That’s okay, as long as you always remember to pamper yourself with plenty of sunscreen or sun block before heading outside. I would suggest waterproof sun protection since most of you are active under the sun and it would be a hassle to reapply the sunscreen. Not only will the unprotected exposure to the sun increase your chances of getting wrinkles, freckles, spots will also appear. Another mistake people make is that they don’t read directions. Usually on the back of the sunscreen, it cautions to wait 15-30 minutes after applying the sunscreen and before going out. Please do so, or you are not giving your skin enough time to absorb the protection. Before you go frolicking on the beach in your bikinis, be sunscreened!

Bad Habit # 4: Smoking and Drinking

Some of us need them, can’t live without them, but do so at your own risk. The nicotine in the cigarettes dehydrates and deprives your skin of oxygen. When the first puff of smoke enters your lungs, the carbon monoxide is being absorbed by the hemoglobin in the blood.  Because of all the bad chemicals in your body, the liver is overworked trying to get rid of them; your skin loses its healthy glow and gradually becomes grayish. Drinking also ages your skin. Drinking dehydrates the skin, making it especially vulnerable to wrinkles. It also depletes the body of Vitamin A, which is an essential antioxidant. For the sake of your beautiful skin, refrain from smoking and drinking!

Bad Habit # 5: Having Overly Expressive Expressions

If you overdose on your facial expressions, chances are that you are stressing your facial muscles and that can make wrinkles permanent. Just don’t overdo on your expressions and message your face often to relieve the muscle stress.

Bad Habit # 6: Don’t Drink Water

The human body is approximately 90% water. This is how vital H2O is in our lives. Drink 8 cups of waters a day, this helps to keep your body hydrated from the inside. This cleans the body and helps your body to rid of harmful substances. Try drinking a cup of water on an empty stomach every morning.

Bad Habit # 7: Don’t Exercise

Studies have found that exercising regularly does reduce signs of aging and acne breakouts. Regular workout helps blood circulation and increases the delivery of nutrients to cells in the skin. Working out releases stress and mediates the body’s production of hormones that can cause acne breakouts. Sweating from working out also quickens cells’ turnover and secrete harmful substances from your body. Working out is literally the second best skincare, after sleep, of course.

Bad Habit # 8: Don’t Remove Makeup Completely

This is a step I can’t emphasize enough. Always do a very thorough job on removing the makeup, or else it will sink deep into the skin and clog your pores. This is detrimental to your skin’s health because it will gradually build up makeup. If you don’t remove your makeup, your skin will definitely reflect your laziness the next day, it would be rougher and prone to break out the next day. Please do your skin a favor and let it breathe after a refreshing cleansing! Sleeping with mascara is especially dangerous because it can eventually cause blindness. There are no ugly women, only lazy ones!

Bad Habit # 9: Use Unsuitable Skincare Products

Do you really understand your skin? To know your skin inside and out, read our article, http://coralcoral.wordpress.com/category/uncategorized/ : Know Thyself, Know Thy Skin Type. Using the wrong kind of skincare is really bad for your skin as every skincare product is specially designed for a specified skin type. For example, if you have dry or normal skin, don’t use cleansers that are designed for oily/acne prone skin; this can over strip your skin of its oil that is necessary to lock moisture in your skin. Also one thing you have to watch out is seasonal changes. Yes, your skin can change as the weather changes. You might have oily skin in the summer, but when winter rolls around, your skin type might change to combination skin, with only your T-zone as the oily part.

Bad Habit # 10: Eat Unhealthily

We all know the saying, we are what we eat. This is unfortunately true for most of us, while we burn in envy as we see some skinny girls eating extra, extra sugary deserts without worrying about gaining weights, we have to count every calorie as we stuff in the green salads. This true for skin too. Not only will unhealthy food gave us empty calories, cholesterol, it can age our skin as well. Stay away from spicy, fried, and sugary food especially, and become best friends with greens and fruits. The nutrition from the veggies and fruits can only do wonder to your skin. Skin is a direct reflection your healthy diet. Eat healthy and be happy.

Although most Asian women are naturally younger looking than their non-Asian counterpart, that doesn’t mean you shouldn’t be as cautious as possible in taking care of yourself. Love Your Lashes

If you have…

Monolids(Single Lids) or big eyes with short eye lashes

Choose lengthening mascara, which will accentuate your eyes, make them appear bright and big.

Long but thin and sparsely eye lashes

Choose volumizing mascara, which will elongate and curl those beautiful lashes.

Wide upper waterline

Apply dark mascara on the root areas of the lashes multiple times, this can balance and hide your wide waterline.

Narrow space between the eyes

The focus should be on the lashes on the outer lash lines. Apply mascara multiple times on lashes on those areas, especially the upper lashes; it can create an illusion that sets the eyes part.

Wide space between the eyes

Put more emphasis on the lashes on the inner and middle of part of the eyes, it can help to bring the eyes together.

A long and narrow face

Apply mascara on lower lashes, this can widen the eyes, shorten the face and make the eyes seem more deep set.

Ahh, eyes certainly are windows to one‘s soul. Accentuate those babies of yours with our hot list of eyeliners.

Lord, Save Me!

Tip 1: A Perfect Coating = Perfect Makeup
A perfect blending of foundation to your skin can make a world of difference. Put a slightly damp makeup sponge into the fridge. After 2 minutes, tap the chilled sponge onto the foundation-ready skin. You will feel especially refreshed afterwards while your colorful makeup will stand out even more.
Tip 2: The Most Satisfying Eyebrow
Apply eyebrow pencil to the back of your hand. Use eyebrow brush to dab the color on the back of your hand and spread evenly on your brows. You’ll be surprised how natural and beautiful your eyebrows look.
Tip 3: A Delicate Line
Having trouble drawing delicate lines with eyeliner? No problem. First put your elbow on a flat place, i.e., a desk. Put the mirror flat on the surface where your elbow is on, look down into the mirror and draw your line.
Tip 4: Flash Your Eyes To The World
Use white eyeliner a little beneath your lower water line to accentuate those babies.
Tip 5: Keep Your Tweezers Sharp Always
If the ends become dull and plucking becomes a hassle, try rubbing sand paper against the inner part of the ends.
Tip 6: Clean Your Tools Like A Makeup Pro
Your makeup tools are so essential that they should always be kept nice and clean. Lather up a dab of gentle shampoo in your hands and wash through your brushes, then add a little conditioner to soften the brushes. Or, you can always buy specialized cosmetics brush cleansers to do the job. Some cleansers clean and dry your tools at the same time!
Tip 7: Fresh Face All Day, Every day!
After makeup, spray mist from an elbow distance. This will make your makeup last longer.

The most important thing you should know before buying skin products is know your skin type down cold. CAUTION: To avoid the result of damaging your skin trying out useless products and losing your greens.

Different people are born with different kinds of skin; what works well for your friend won’t necessarily work well for you. Living in different kinds of environment can also affect and even alter your skin type. Sometimes using the wrong types of products can damage your skin by creating more problems. Often you would need to buy certain skincare products according to different seasons, as your skin will definitely get influenced by the seasonal changes. But fear not, by differentiating what kind of skin you’ve set yourself on the right track to a flawless face.

Normally, skin types can be categorized into five types: normal, dry or dehydrated, oily and oil-prone, combination, and sensitive.

Normal Skin is usually characterized with an even toned, acne-free complexion, and a soft and smooth surface. It is neither too flaky nor greasy and has a fine and supple texture. There are no visible spots or blemishes. A good balance between oil and moisture content, thus locking enough moisture to make the skin appear refreshed.

Dry Skin is most prone to aging, very prone to fine lines around eyes and corners of mouth. This type of skin is associated with fine pores and looks dull from dead skin buildup. Can appear sallow toned and is easily irritated. Dry skin has a thin and papery texture, making it more susceptible to chapping and cracking. Skin feels tight after washing.

Oily Skin is shiny, prone to break out, and troubled by acne. Face feels very refreshed after washing. Larges pores are a prominent feature with a coarse and uneven texture. This kind of skin is often vulnerable to blackheads, whiteheads, acne, and spots. Oily skin oozes oil and gives off a greasy appearance.

Combination Skin is described as taut and flaky on the cheek area and oily in the T-zone, nose, forehead and chin. After washing face, some areas would feel smooth, others, rough. You should treat this type of skin as two separate skin types, normal and oily.

Sensitive Skin is known for its delicate nature. This kind of skin can be very easily irritated and reacts to products easily. Stinging, chafing, tingling and tightening happen often, leaving skin patches of redness. Small visible blood vessels also occur.
